All HUBs, depots and satellites are provided with fixed arrival and departure times for the line system, similar to a rail timetable model. At these points, consignments from partners and customers are fed into the GO! system at fixed times for domestic and international destinations. This also benefits foreign customers and customers close to the border, who can feed consignments directly into the gateway depots and pick them up.
GO! is the only company in Switzerland that can carry out and deliver collections nationwide on the day of the order with this line and wave principle. This means that collections and returns can also be “accelerated” when it comes to international connections, goods that are difficult to obtain or warranty periods.
The day express network or sameday network has variable depots throughout Switzerland, including in Lausanne, Charrat, Bern, Basel, Baar, Zurich, Bioggio, Zizers, Widnau, St. Gallen and 2 hubs in Wolfwil and Winterthur.
The GO! Head Office in Winterthur coordinates and controls all national processes in the network and ensures compliance with uniformly high quality standards. The link between all Swiss stations and thus the heart of the GO! system is a high-performance, browser-based IT solution from 1st LOG AG that is linked to all Swiss customers. GO! and Night Star Express operate the market-leading express network in Switzerland for “night logistics”. In other words, consignments that are picked up late in the evening and delivered to recipients the same night. The enormous know-how in the industrial sectors of automotive, two-wheelers, municipal and construction machinery as well as agriculture and the electronic networking using state-of-the-art IT of 1st Log AG form a quality standard that is unmatched in the industry.
A central HUB was built in Wolfwil for this purpose, which now has an area of over 5000 m2 and the next 1000 m2 are already being planned. All consignments from all over Switzerland and neighboring countries are brought here, checked, transshipped and distributed again throughout Switzerland in a star shape with 80-100 vehicles.
This gives customers in Switzerland and neighboring countries the opportunity to make consignments available from 5 p.m. to around 9 p.m. or to deliver them directly to a national depot or HUB. Consignments are delivered throughout Switzerland (excluding exclusion zones) by 07.00 a.m. on the same night.
