Without logistics specialists like GO!, a closely interlinked economy and ensuring the availability of goods would be inconceivable.
Our responsibility and commitment to sustainable logistics solutions are correspondingly high. We are committed to achieving a balance between economic business operations and ecological management.
Our commitment to sustainability is firmly anchored in our corporate philosophy and extends across our entire corporate and value chain.
The principles of GO! are formulated in guiding principles that are actively practiced by all employees and contribute to optimum customer support.
System-wide, we have successfully implemented an integrated management system with environmental management in accordance with DIN EN ISO 14001:2015 and quality management in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9001:2015.
We have thus successfully implemented an important measure as part of our long-term sustainable corporate strategy.
Flat hierarchies, short coordination channels and a high level of personal responsibility characterize our day-to-day work. We encourage our employees to actively contribute their ideas.
We have always supported our employees in their personal and professional development and offer numerous opportunities for advancement. Internal and external training and further education programs ensure comprehensive know-how.
Seals of approval such as “Top Company” and “Open Company” from kununu as well as numerous awards with a very good recommendation rate confirm the high level of employee satisfaction at GO!
Our partners and subcontractors are an indispensable component of our service promise and our quality standards. In addition to a secure contractual relationship and fair and punctual payment, we offer varied activities and flexibility. In addition, we promote and coach the further development of our subcontractors, e.g. in terms of occupational safety and quality, through regular training courses. From load securing to hazardous goods: our subcontractors have up-to-date knowledge and keep pace with the increasing demands of the market and industry.
GO! assumes social responsibility and supports numerous social projects with both financial resources and active involvement on site. These range from support for charitable projects and associations to charity events and sports sponsorship. In line with our decentralized organization, we take this into account locally and maintain a child sponsorship with Plan International in Hamburg, for example. In addition, there are numerous other social projects with a regional focus in which we are also personally involved. For example, many employees have been typed as potential stem cell donors in the DKMS database, lend a hand on the grounds of the Sternenbrücke children’s hospice and support the food banks in Hamburg and Lübeck.
Security is firmly anchored in our company. Improving this is one of our key process components, applies equally to locations and transported goods, data and employees and is regularly reviewed in internal audits. We protect our customers’ property with the utmost sensitivity and care.
The protection of personal data and its confidential treatment is mandatory. We treat customer and recipient data provided to us with the utmost care and in accordance with the European General Data Protection Regulation.
The health of our employees is the backbone of our group of companies. We continuously improve occupational health and safety in order to maintain the health of our employees. This includes regular training, inspections and audits. This is supplemented by occupational health management and local prevention programs.
GO! does not tolerate corruption or antitrust violations. We are transparent and act honestly, thoughtfully and responsibly. Everyone is required to actively implement this within their area of responsibility. At GO!, bribes and cartel agreements are not a means of obtaining orders.
GO! Switzerland is well aware of its role as a transportation service provider. As a member of a sector that has a significant CO2 impact, we therefore support reforestation and the planting of new tree populations worldwide.
Whether a global corporation or a one-man operation, every company impacts the environment through CO₂ emissions. Production, shipping, IT and offices, logistics and mobility are just some of the areas that are directly or indirectly responsible for a company’s carbon footprint.
GO! Switzerland opted for a comprehensible climate-friendly strategy within the national transport network over 10 years ago. It chose the Cologne-based company Co2frei.net as its partner. This company offers companies CO₂ neutralization through the targeted planting of trees and willows. The trees and willows are planted exclusively in the Federal Republic of Germany, including for Swiss companies.
Interested customers, partners and suppliers can transparently see where the trees have been planted. To protect biodiversity, fruit trees are also planted alongside the oxygen-producing willow trees. These tree plantations can be visited and enjoyed. The emotional experience is overwhelming! A verifiable connection is established that brings joy, gratitude and pride, as the environmental protection that has been initiated can be experienced directly and thus becomes “tangible”.
By the end of 2022, a total of around 13,000 trees will have been planted on an area of 13 hectares. This will absorb around 8,000 tons of CO2, which in turn corresponds to around 11-12 million kilometers driven.
And we continue – environmental protection you can touch. As I said, with us everything is out of the ordinary.
GO! Express & Logistics Deutschland GmbH has set itself the goal of pursuing a sustainable environmental policy. We see environmental protection as a corporate responsibility and are committed to the careful use of natural resources and the reduction of harmful effects on the environment. Our environmental awareness is reflected in the way we think and act as a company.
The relevant legal and official requirements serve as the basis for our actions in environmental protection. Taking into account technical and economic feasibility, we regard the environmentally relevant laws and regulations as a minimum requirement and try to take measures that go beyond this.
We strive for improvement. In this context, the environmental targets are regularly checked for compliance, continuously evaluated and adjusted if necessary. At the same time, we set ourselves the goal of continuously improving the environmental management system.
In this context, we pay particular attention to the intelligent control of logistics flows. Our routing is continuously reviewed and adjusted if necessary. Two additional regional HUBs have been implemented since 2017 alone. By using our seven regional sorting centers and optimally utilizing our liner vehicles, which also travel directly between the locations, we reduce the number of kilometers traveled per package.
With regard to the delivery process, we protect the environment by offering complementary delivery options, such as individual arrangements for alternative deliveries, bundling deliveries and collections, as well as constantly reviewing and optimizing transport routes and reducing avoidable traffic. Recipients are informed about deliveries in order to avoid multiple delivery attempts.
In addition, we have been ensuring the climate-neutral production of printed materials such as advertising materials and business stationery for years and are promoting ecological construction methods at our locations through the use of photovoltaics, electric and gas filling stations and energy-saving LED technology.
Overall, we are working to make our social contribution to sustainable business practices. Accordingly, we are currently implementing an environmental management system in accordance with DIN EN ISO 14001, and GO! Germany has already been certified in 2021.
We continuously check and improve our quality. GO! quality management is certified in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9001:2015. The audit covers all of the company’s processes and forms the basis for the provision of our transport services. We also comply with the guidelines for good distribution practice for medicinal products for human use (GDP). Our conformity with GDP is certified in writing.
